Colonial Villa

This project reimagines a century-old Portuguese villa through a landscape design rooted in sensitivity to place and heritage. The approach began with listening to the land-its climate, history, and existing ecology-to shape a tropical landscape that celebrates visual biodiversity while enhancing spatial experience.
A 35-year-old mango tree anchors the design, around which a layered, climate-responsive tropical garden unfolds. The villa and landscape are conceived as one, allowing light, air, and greenery to flow seamlessly through the space.
